Delay for awhile

I am really sorry if I haven't posted anything in the past few weeks. I am currently working on something really important. In terms of looking for a job, I already got an interview and hopefully they will call me when will I start. I'd been dying to work full time as what I said, I am planning to save up a lot of money for my university.  At the same time, I am preparing myself for the next school year, I already enrolled myself in college this year to do GCSE Maths and English which I'm not really excited about. I am not sure if it I can manage to do it while working an eight hour shift of work. Let see if I can do it. Well, I am up for a challenge.

I will try my best to keep you guys updated. Paalam!

Wednesday Blues

Every summer holidays, I always woke up late which is pretty acceptable (in my opinion). Like any other person in the world (I'm pretty sure, I'm not alone), I tend to run out of ideas on what to do on every single day, especially right now, I don't have a decent permanent work. Yeah, I worked every Thursday in a Cafe but that is not enough to sustain my hunger for productivity. So, what a typical Princess Laforga will do? Well, yeah you guess it right. Binge watching. Haha! From Korean drama to American T.V Series to a long list of anime you named it. I tried watching all of it. Of course, there are a dozen things to do literally like doing household chores and stuff. But you am I kidding, HAHAHA!

Most of you will probably think I am such a slacker right now. But please give a benefit of the doubt because this is my only time I actually relax in the past 2 years of staying here in U.K. As far as I remembered, working full time in the last 2 years, did not really gave me the opportunity to know myself. I worked. worked. worked. All I think about that time is to save up money for my university tuition. I even worked 60 hours a week. 12 hours a day. Now thinking about it, made me realized how unhealthy lifestyle I have.

I promised myself not to go back to that routine. However, now I don't have anything to do. I guess, it is the right time to go back and save money. Being a student really cost a fortune. All my earnings in my part time job as a student last year was all spent. I didn't realized how much I spent every lunch break and even unnecessary things that I bought. At first, I was so reluctant to spending a single dime since I managed to not spend any of it before I start studying. But what can I do? I don't want to be another burden on my parent's part since they are paying all the rent and saving up for our permanent residency permit. What's done is done. Now, I am planning to go back to my goal. Save enough money in preparation for my university life next year and as well as my plan going on a Euro trip. I wish I could be able to get a permanent job that will give me at least £1000 a month.

So much blabbering right now. Oh Wednesday blues it is..

Look what I got on the mail!

Last July, I went to Coleg Menai for our graduation ceremony. Like any graduation ceremony I had been to, I received a piece of paper rolled with a red ribbon on it. Haha! Well, they told me that they will send the diploma by post anyway, so I knew from the start that this is just for the formality part of finishing the course.
This is me after the ceremony. Photo opportunity while waiting for my dad to pick us up.

Anyway, now I can finally say I finished the course. No more paper works and assessments. Doing the long list of assignments every weekend was a burden for me because I prefer doing exams than doing numerous essays to explain what you learned on that day. Maybe some of you may find this odd, but I don't know. I prefer giving myself a challenge, checking myself if I did understand the topic or not.

On the second thought, the graduation ceremony was quite casual. Nothing special. Like "meh". I still prefer the ceremonies that take place in the Philippines. I did the Access to H.E: Bio science and we are in a total of 18 in class when we started. Months passed by, we are getting smaller and smaller in number until only 12 of us finished the course and you know what, only 4 of us attended the ceremony. Haha! If I knew this would happen, I won't bother going there as well. Like what I said, I noticed it quite semi-formal type of ceremony. Probably because I am used to the graduation ceremony that has prayer at the beginning, opening speech or maybe sing the national anthem. Sometimes they do some intermission number in between the ceremony.

Only 4 of us showed up. From left to right: Me, Helen, Chris and Dave.

My chemistry, biology and environmental science tutor.

Anyway, enough of that. The only reason why I opened it up this again is because I just received my diploma. Yeheey! I am really pleased at what I got. I can finally checked which Universities I could apply on since not all of them accept the Access course. Step 1: checked!!

Access to Higher Education: Bio science Diploma, babyyyy!

 That's all for now. Paalam!

I'm back!

Hey guys. a.k.a readers (if I have one)

It has been a year hiatus before I decided to go back into the world of blogging. A lot of unexpected events happened in the past year, which turned out to be a great and awesome experience. Yep, there are still rough edges here and there but, overall, God planned what is best for me which I am thankful with.

First, I want to share with you guys that I actually finished my Access course in college. Yehey! If you are not familiar with it, Access to Higher Education: Bio science to be exact gave me the opportunity to study in my chosen university. Well, given the fact that they accept access graduate students. Since I didn't finish my four year course of Medical Technology in the Philippines, I decided to continue it here in the U.K. (As if, I have a second option. Hehe. Just kidding!) But before I could study in a university, I need to have set of qualifications in order to have a bachelor degree. So, yep. Access course is my plan A. Unlike in the Philippines wherein I have someone to take care me with, here in the U.K. I need to get my ass do the work. This gave me a big fat reality check: I NEED TO BE A GROWN UP PERSON!

I managed to study full time while I worked on weekends. To be honest, it was crucial death trap for me. Balancing my study and work at the same time is not an easy task that I thought it would be. I actually shed a couple of pounds because of stress and over fatigue. I am not even kidding. But sadly, as of now I actually gained it all back after I lost my part time job. Huhu! (10 kg in 2 months)

Second, I passed the Cambridge English Exam Level 1. Yehey! My tutor told me to continue to do the Level 2 exam, but I decided not to do it since exam fee is such a rip off. My mom and dad also passed it due to the requirement needed for our permanent residency permit here in the UK.

Third, we all passed the life in the UK test. This is quite a funny one, I studied rigorously the whole book for a month trying my best to memorize all the dates and names because I don't want to fail on that test. Doing it once is much better than doing it 5 times, right? Even my mom and dad did the same thing since the exam fee cost a fortune. When we get there, we did our best and not trying to brag but.... it's soooooo easy. Like literally, if you just read the book 2-3 times you can pass the exam. I think the only problem to some people why they fail the exam is because they didn't even try to read or understand the book.

Ohhhhh.. this is such a long post already. I will cut story for now. Hehe.I just want to end this blog post by saying I will try my very best to update my blog very often since the "past-18-year-old-Princess" was a lazy person.

Paalam!
